David Semple has developed his skills for restoration, furnituremaking and finishing over his lifetime having originally developed an interest in carpentry at his grandfather’s side.
He has worked for the last twenty years from Kirkby Stephen where he has lovingly restored fine pieces of furniture from as early as the Fifteenth Century, and worked with Museums, established Country Houses and churches.
David’s work and experience is much in demand. His knowledge and skills are recognised and respected throughout a wide spectrum whether from satisfied clients, Interior Designers, avid collectors, Antique Dealers or Auction Houses.
He now travels the length of the country and beyond to seek out unique, rare and undiscovered pieces of furniture with emphasis on proportion, patination, integrity and character.
